I have a beautiful ruffled pie plate made by a well-known French bakeware company, among others. They claim that it is scratch-proof, however, we all know that no such dish exists. I specifically sought out a server that would not scratch or mar the surfaces of my prized ceramic bakeware. The Cake Boss cake server fits the bill. I was really surprised at the quality - it's made of a thick nylon material with a serrated edge, and the handle is covered with a sturdy silicone material that makes it easy to grip. The edge cuts easily through any pie, cake, brownie, or quiche, and it's flexible enough to navigate underneath a thick slice of apple pie with a fairly delicate crust. I've also found it useful in removing muffins from muffin pans.



It's not the prettiest server, but it's sturdy, and best of all, unlike stainless steel, it doesn't scratch your dishes. So if you're like me and you don't want to ding up your dishes, get this server.
