I've just gotten this thing. Wow! It looks very intimidating in the kitchen. It is amazing what short work this thing makes of things, lemon slicing, chopping a cabbage, it is truly a kitchen weopon. I'd always thought a tool like this was just a bit much to use. Let's face it, it is dangerous in the wrong hands. That being said, just the weight of this tool takes any effort you would have to apply to it, and cuts it way down. In other words, it does the work with minimal applied effort. When I think of how other knives really require quite a bit of force to get the job done they are more dangerous to use than this thing, which has inertial force behind it. This thing will be easy to get used too but, like a sharp knife you have to be careful how you apply it.
