Having never previously shucked an oyster in my life, I read everything I could find and watched dozens of YouTube clips to figure out which knife was the best, easiest to use and most reliable. This one had great reviews and is mentioned prominently in "A Geography of Oysters" as the preferred product. After using it and comparing it to another knife I bought at the same time, I agree. The curved tip is particularly important in finding and separating the oyster's hinge and the handle is very comfortable. Highly recommended.
