Bearing in mind that for this really "cheap" price, it's a great product for $13.00! Yes, you can get each individual knife at the 99-cent store and they will be about the same quality. But by buying them this way, all together, all the knives will match! And you get the storage block for free. And they cut as well at something five times the price. - Will they impress your mother-in-law? No. Will they do the job for which they are intended and last long enough for you to get bored with them? Yes. They're a good buy! -- PS: Here's a repeat of a great hint I learned here: Do NOT cut or chop and then use the blade to SCRAPE your edibles off the cutting board. That dulls the blade quickly and sounds awful. Instead, simply cut or chop and then quickly turn the knife over and use the flat edge to scrape everything off the board.
